SMS & Messaging Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Workky sends text messages on behalf of businesses that use Emma. This policy explains the program to callers, to our customers, and to mobile carriers.
Program description
Program name: Emma by Workky — appointment and call follow-up messages.
Emma sends transactional text messages only:
- Appointment confirmations and reminders.
- A summary or callback details after a call.
- Requested information (address, hours, a link the caller asked for).
Emma does not send promotional or marketing texts.
How callers opt in
A caller opts in during a phone or website conversation with Emma by giving their mobile number and agreeing to receive a confirmation or follow-up text. Emma asks before sending, for example: "Would you like me to text you the confirmation? Message and data rates may apply." Opt-in is logged in Workky CRM with the date, time, and phone number.
Message frequency
Frequency varies. A typical caller receives 1–3 messages per appointment. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that business. You will receive one final confirmation text. Reply START to opt back in.
Help
Reply HELP to any message, email support@workky.ai, or contact the business you called.
Privacy
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent collected by Workky are never shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Messages are delivered through Twilio, our SMS provider, only to send them. See our Privacy Policy at workky.ai/privacy.
For businesses using Emma
- You may not upload contact lists for bulk texting; Emma texts only people who interacted with her and agreed.
- You are responsible for honoring opt-outs communicated to you outside the platform.
- Messages must stay transactional. Marketing use requires separate written consent from each recipient and prior approval from Workky.
- Sending texts without consent may violate the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and California law and may result in suspension.
Carrier disclaimer
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
